Fatal RTC, Corpusty

Roads policing officers are appealing for witnesses following a
serious road traffic collision yesterday (Saturday 16 November) in
which a 19 year-old girl sadly died.

The incident took place on the B1149 near Corpusty, on the Holt
to Norwich Road at around 6.20pm and involved a black Fiat Bravo
and red Skoda Fabia.

The Fiat was travelling in the Norwich direction when it was
involved in a collision with the Skoda which was travelling in the
opposite direction.

A bus was in the vicinity at the time of the collision, but it
is not believed to have been directly involved. The Skoda vehicle
was travelling behind this bus.

Sadly the 19 year-old female driver of the Fiat died at the
scene. A six year old boy, a passenger in the Skoda, was air lifted
to Addenbrookes Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable
condition.

The female driver and male passenger of this vehicle
were both taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed to allow emergency services to attend
the scene.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they may
have seen any of the vehicles involved prior to the incident or the
collision itself.

No further information relating to the female will be released
at this stage.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Serious Collision
Investigation Team (SCIT) at Norfolk Constabulary on 101.
