Man jailed for drugs offences

A 31-year-old man has been jailed for 40
months after pleading guilty to possession of heroin and crack
cocaine with intent to supply.

David Grinsell, of Princes Road in Great
Yarmouth, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Monday, 18 November,
and pleaded guilty to two counts one relating to crack and one to
heroin before being jailed for 40 months (three years and six
months).

Grinsell was arrested on Tuesday 15 October
after being spotted acting suspiciously in the Tolhouse Street area
of the town.

Police who saw him believed he was involved in dealing
drugs and he was detained and searched by officers who discovered a
number of wraps of the class A drugs.

Fourteen wraps of crack
cocaine and 11 containing heroin were seized.

Grinsell was taken into custody and gave a no
comment interview but was subsequently charged with possession of
crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of heroin with
intent to supply, making his first appearance at Great Yarmouth
Magistrates Court on October 16.
