A man remains in police custody this morning after officers were
called to a disturbance in Norwich last night, Wednesday 6
November.

Police attended an address in Woodcock Close at about 7.15pm
following reports a man had been threatened inside a flat by
another man who was in possession of weapons.

Officers attended the
scene and arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of affray.

He was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre where he
remains in custody.

Police searched the property and subsequently seized a machete
and crossbow.

Inspector Nik Hewitt, from Norwich North, said: It would appear
this is a domestic related incident and there was no threat to the
wider community.

PCSOs will be carrying out increased patrols in the area today,
offering reassurance to local residents.
