UK: Conergy to build 40 MW of PV plants, further 50 MW in pipeline …

Conergy teams up with U.K. partner Camborne Energy to sell 40 MW of solar farms to investors, while also securing full EPC rights for 90 MW project pipeline.

Conergy has secured 90 MW of solar PV projects in the U.K. as the company continues its expansion.

arm in partnership with Camborne Energy – has recently secured the sale of 40 MW of solar projects to a Primrose Solar.

The 40 MW of solar power plants are ready to be built, with Conergy also overseeing an additional 50 MW solar project pipeline. Primrose Solar is backed by York Capital Management and Pioneer Point Partners LLP, and has agreed to purchase the five solar power plants, which have a combined capacity total of 40 MW.

Conergy will act as the general contractor for the plants, overseeing all EPC services for the initial five plants and the additional 50 MW in the pipeline. A PPA for the plants has been set up at a rate some 33% below the average U.K.

retail price for electricity5.

Three of the solar plants will be constructed in the county of Dorset in southern England, while the other will be built near the coastal resort town of Great Yarmouth in the east of England. Together, the solar farms will produce approximately 38,100 MWh of solar electricity per year, producing enough clean power to supply 11,500 local homes annually.
