Norfolk Constabulary: Beehives criminally damaged

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of criminal
damage in Ashwellthorpe.

It happened between Thursday 12 March at 11am and Thursday 19
March at 11:20am at an address on Wymondham Road.

Unknown person(s) pushed over four beehives causing damage to
the hives and killing a number of bees.

PC Tim Tyler said: “This crime has caused significant loss to
the beekeeper and at the moment the financial cost of this
vandalism is estimated at 1,600.

“The victim is understandably upset and it will take him many
years to rebuild the bee colony so I would very much like to hear
from anyone who may have more information about the incident.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area
between the times stated or anyone with information should contact
