Norfolk Constabulary: Police tackle Norwich burglaries

30 June 2014

Police are continuing to tackle burglaries in the Golden
Triangle area of Norwich.

Officers have focussed patrols in the area following a number of
burglaries and vehicle crime in recent weeks.

Inspector Jon Papworth, Local Policing Commander for Norwich
South, said: “It is really important that we continue our patrols
in the area to try and prevent these crimes and to also identify
those responsible.

“However, many of these burglaries have involved premises where
doors or windows have been left locked or open, making life easier
for opportunistic thieves.

I would urge people to make sure they
lock their doors before they go to bed every night and to make sure
their homes are secure at all time.

“I would also urge anyone who sees any suspicious activity in
the area they live to report it to police on 101 or call 999
straight away if you think a crime is in progress.
