Driver suffers neck and spinal injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision
in Norwich yesterday.

It happened at the Heartsease Lane junction with Rider Haggard
Road shortly before 11am when three vehicles, a HGV lorry, gold
Peugeot 407 and a black Ford Fiesta were involved in a
collision.

The driver of the Peugeot, a man in his 70s, suffered serious
neck and spinal injuries and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich
University Hospital.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the
incident and was re-opened at about 3.25pm.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the
incident or has information concerning the driving manner of either
vehicle prior to the collision.
