Hingham Police Give Retiring Chief Crime Scene Sendoff CBS …
HINGHAM (CBS) Members of the Hingham Police Department wanted to provide some evidence that they would miss retiring Police Chief Michael Peraino.
Peraino, retiring after 37 years on the Hingham police force, was thrown a goodbye party at Town Hall.
There was also a gathering at the police station, where officers wrapped the outgoing chief s car in crime tape.
He loved it. It was funny. He really got a boot out of it, said 35-year veteran Glenn Olsson, who takes over for Peraino.
Some evidence we re really going to miss Chief Peraino, the department tweeted Thursday night.
His cruiser this afternoon on his last day.
As for whose idea it was to wrap Peraino s car, Someone remained anonymous, Olsson said with a chuckle.
