Police are appealing for witnesses after two women suffered
serious head and facial injuries following a collision in Acle this
morning, Tuesday 19 May.

It happened on the A47 Acle Straight around 8.30am, when a
collision occured between a white Ford Transit van and a red Rover
75 estate, which were travelling in opposite directions.

A pane of glass has struck the Rover causing significant damage
and the two occupants of the vehicle, a woman aged in her 20s and a
woman aged in her 50s, suffered serious head and facial injuries.

They were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, where they are
receiving treatment.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended with
local diversions put in place.

It re-opened at midday.

Investigation Team at Acle on 101.

Police are currently on the scene of a serious road traffic
collision between two vehicles in Acle.

Officers were called to the A47 Acle Straight shortly after
8.30am this morning to reports of a collision between a van
and a car.

The road is currently closed whilst emergency services deal with
the incident and local diversions are in place.
