He’s not going to let this beef die.

Meek Mill bizarrely tried to take on Drake1 in a old fashioned rap beef2 over whether or not the Canadian entertainer used ghostwriters on his songs. Well, Kendrick Lamar3 has tossed his hat into the ring now too!

The Los Angeles native appears on Dr. Dre5‘s new album Compton, and on the song Darkside/Gone, KL raps:

“Enemies giving me energy I wanna fight now/Subliminally sent to me all of this hate.”

Basically, people have assumed that this is a shot at Drizzy, referencing his song Energy.

But on the song Deepwater, Kendrick throws some clearer shade, saying:

“Motherf*cker know I started from the bottom They liable to bury him, they nominated six to carry him/ They worrying him to death, but he’s no vegetarian/ The beef is on his breath, inheriting the drama better than/ A great white, n*gga, this is life in my aquarium.”

This isn’t the first time Kendrick tried to engage in a beef with Drake though!

On Big Sean6‘s song Control, Kendrick not only disses Champagne Papi but a bunch of other rappers as well, and some people have said KL’s line about a ghostwriter in King Kunta is also a jab at the 6 God.

For now, all of Dr. Dre’s new songs are exclusively on Apple Music, so unless you have it, you’ll have to just let the written words speak for7 themselves8.
