Montana National Guard implements increased security measures …
The Montana National Guard recently completed a review of their security and force protection procedures at recruiting offices and armory facilities.
Governor Steve Bullock requested the review in response to the Chattanooga shootings last month.
Bullock accepted recommendations for heightened security from Adjutant General for Montana Major General Matthew Quinn.
In a press release, Quinn said, I take very seriously my responsibilities as Montana s senior military officer to protect the safety and well-being of our National Guard Soldiers and Airmen, your sons and daughters.
I am confident that the protection measures we have developed, and are currently implementing, will balance security with our community missions.
The increased security measures will focus on the protection of the Montana National Guard.
In order to provide the greatest security and safety, specific force-protection measures contained in the review and implementation will not be released to the public.
