Hadley & Ottaway Launch Campaign To Find Family Of 3 Servicemen ...

Norwich Removals Company Hadley & Ottaway recently launched a campaign to help find family and friends of three servicemen killed in action during 1940.

Jack Ottaway, Archie Kerr, and Stanley Elliot all lost their lives when their plane tragically crashed in Northrepps airfield almost 75 years ago.

Jack Ottaway was the brother of Herbert Ottaway who founded Hadley & Ottaway early in the 20th Century, and the Norfolk based-firm were more than happy to help raise the profile of the story.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the crash, a memorial was held in their honour at Northrepps airfield on Saturday 21st November, and thanks to the hardwork of the Ottaway family and Hadley & Ottaway there were lots of Ottaway s in attendance.

The memorial service was a fitting tribute to the servicemen and David Galer, Managing Director of Hadley & Ottaway felt the day was a moving occasion.

He said: It was fantastic to see so many Ottaway s, family members and friends supporting the day.

It was an honour to be part of this, and to remember the three servicemen who gave their lives in honour of their country.

As soon as we were contacted by the family, we wanted to do everything we could to ensure that the memorial service was a success.
