'Sleeping Beauty' Family Panto includes British Sign Language …
The Thetford Players panto The Sleeping Beauty will include a British Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf on opening night, Thurs 16th Jan 2014, thanks to funding received from the Lovell Blake Fund via the Norfolk Community Foundation.
Additionally, the Players decision to include live music for the first time in one of its pantomimes will add to the audience s whole theatre experience . With this in mind, and given that only a dozen seats remained for the Saturday matinee just 20 minutes after ticket sales went live on Tues (5th Nov), it can be confidently said that this will be the Thetford Players best ever panto .. oh yes it does!
Written professionally by Ben Crocker, the script won the Best Panto of 2012 award by the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) and is full of laughs, slapstick, song and dance with a few unexpected twists in this classic fairytale.
Join the Thetford Players journey through 118 years and meet Queen Dottie and her cat Kitty; King Norbert and his butlers, Billy and Jilly; the Princess Aurora and Prince Orlando not forgetting the Fairies and their nemesis, Carabosse, and her sidekick, Spindleshanks!
Will Queen Dottie get her cake finished in time?
Will Princess Aurora meet her Prince?
Will Carabosse succeed with her dastardly plans?
