Message from Chief Inspector Paul Wheatley

You might recall that the last Home Watch message related to a number of break ins to sheds and outbuildings last week? Well I am pleased to inform you that there have been some arrests made on a local allotment where four males were detained within a shed. They will be questioned in connection with the incidents and enquiries continue.

Police are also appealing for information following an assault in the Thetford area on Sunday 25 January.

The incident happened outside the Red Lion Inn in Thetford market place at 2.15am when a man in his late teens was punched twice in the face by another male. The offender then left the scene in the direction of Castle Street with two other men. The victim was taken to hospital with a fractured jaw and also had a tooth knocked out.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact DC Sarah Warner at Thetford Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

As always, if you see anti-social behaviour being committed please call 101, or call 999 if it requires an urgent response as you would if a crime was being committed.
