Norfolk police seek consignment shop burglar

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) Norfolk police are searching for the person who broke into a Ghent business Tuesday morning.

Around 6 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the Double Take 2 consignment shop at 517 W.

21st Street. At the scene, they found the right front window had been shattered.

Police say officers searched the store, but didn t find anyone. When an employee arrived and took inventory, they learned three purses had been taken.

Jo Grice-Barrows, owner of Double Take 2,2 shared pictures and surveillance video with WAVY.com.

The video shows a man peering into the window, then breaking the glass, climbing into the store and grabbing a few items.
