Two police officers tried to escort the bird safely off the Bll50 near the Captain s Pond beauty spot, Westwick, close to North Walsham.

EDP photographer Mark Bullimore, who was heading for North Walsham, was among those kept waiting by the wanderer, who had decided to spend Sunday morning swanning about.

I think the rogue swan probably got out of Captain s Pond and the police were trying to shoo it back there, said Mr Bullimore who was among about a dozen cars in his lane held up for a few minutes.
