Two men arrested in connection with an investigation into historic allegations have been bailed again until March.

The men, both in their 60s and from the Norwich area, were arrested in September last year in connection with allegations thought to date back to the 1970s and 1990s. The had been bailed until mid December but have been bailed again until March 18 pending further inquiries.

The arrests were made as part of an operation, called Palomino, which also involved searches of two properties in the Norwich area – one at Costessey and the other believed to be in the Stonehouse Road area of Sprowston. The search of the property at Olive Road, in Costessey, lasted for several days and saw specialist teams carrying out searches both inside and outside the address, including the garden areas. The search of the property in Costessey provided a major talking point for people living in the area for a number of days.
