Woman survives Hunstanton cliff fall

At 11.50pm on Thursday 12th February, NARS CCP Carl Smith was called by the Critical Care Desk to Cliff Parade, Hunstanton. A female had fallen approximately 20 metres from the cliff. On scene were Coastguard, police, fire appliances from Hunstanton and the Kings Lynn fire officer, together with ambulance crew, DSA and an ambulance Officer.

The Hazardous Area Response Team were sent but stood down and Air Sea Rescue from Wattisham were also called but stood down. The patient was conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth hospital, Kings Lynn by ambulance. The patient had an injury to her leg and possible internal injuries, but her condition was described as non-life threatening.

On Carl s arrival, the patient had been rescued and was in an ambulance.

Carl assisted the crew on scene but was not required to provide any Critical Care interventions.
