A supermarket in Wymondham was evacuated this morning, after a blaze broke out in a fryer.

Emergency services were called to Morrisons, on Postmill Close, today just after 9am, where a fire had started in the kitchen.

Customers were evacuated from the store and fire crews from Wymondham and Hethersett were called to the scene.

On arrival they discovered that the fire had already been extinguished.

Ambulance and police were alerted to the incident, but neither were required to attend.

Firefighters were called to a fire in a bedroom at a property in Old Buckenham.

Police are investigating the burglary of a house in Rockland All Saints, near Attleborough in which costume jewellery was taken.

He was a revolutionary who set aside his privileged position to fight for the rights of countrymen around England.

Police are appealing for help to trace the next of kin of a man from a Wymondham care home who died aged 88.
