The apartment on Sleaford Green has been at the centre of drug use and anti-social behaviour for several months, police said. Police worked with partner agencies to address concerns from residents and sought a closure order after securing evidence of drugs misuse at the address. Officers attended Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday, April 17 to seek a closure order under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

The order was granted for a period of three months, making it a criminal offence for anybody to be inside the property. Local beat manager PC Ben Burton said: We re committed to tackling and reducing this type of behaviour and this closure is a positive outcome which will help to improve the quality of life for local residents. Residents can be reassured we will act on their concerns and take action where appropriate and necessary.

A police investigation is on-going and two people have been arrested in connection with drug offences.

They are currently on police bail pending further enquiries until Friday, May 1.
