Emergency services were called to Barrack Street, close to the Puppet Theatre, at about 3pm.

A silver Renault and a female pedestrian aged in her 20s were involved in the accident. She has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. There were long delays in both directions between the A1151 Charlton Road junction and the B1140 Kett s Hill junction.

The lane on St Andrew s Street heading up to Bank Plain has also been closed off while a gas leak is fixed, adding to the disruption.
