A fire which caused significant damage to a ground floor flat in Norwich is being treated as arson by police.
Fire crews were called to the blaze in Albert Place, near Gas Hill, at around 8.35pm on Wednesday, September 20.

The fire is believed to have been deliberately started in a rubbish bin outside the property before the spreading to the flat and causing extensive damage to both the inside and outside of the building. Eight crews and around 25 firefighters from across Norfolk worked through the night to tackle the fire with the last one leaving the address at around 8am on Thursday morning. A spokesperson for Norfolk police said the fire was being treated as deliberate and an arson investigation was underway.

Two people were evacuated from the address and the ambulance service was also called.
