Army tags NPA in latest attack on gov t official THE VILLAGE head of Barangay Lamanan, Calinan District was gunned down believed to be by communist rebels in Sitio Quibaton, Barangay Dominga yesterday morning. The victim was identified as Antonio R. Albaran, 56, whose body was found riddled with gunshot wounds.

His also sustained a lone gunshot wound on the head. Albaran was a retired colonel from the Eastern Mindanao Command. According to the report, the victim was abducted by alleged two members of the New People s Army identified as alias Benjack and alias Jinggoy from his house using a red motorcycle.

A military intelligence officer told TIMES that the killing was still part of the NPA s retaliation after the death of Leoncio Pitao alias Kumander Parago of the Pulang Bagani Command 1. Troops of 84 th Infantry Battalion, along with the Calinan Police Precinct, are now conducting an investigation into the incident. Albaran s body was brought to St.

Peter Funeral Parlor in Calinan. In a separate interview, Capt. Alberto Caber, spokesperson of Eastern Mindanao Command, said that as of now they have not yet received the report of the incident but as a military colleague they want to know the truth about his death.

We would like also to find out kung ano talaga ang tototong nangyari, he said. Caber said that Albaran was the former Assistant for Chief of staff for Civil Military-Operations (U7) Head and Assistant Chief of staff for Personnel (U1) in the headquarters . The NPA counts parts of third district as its domain, and barangay officials are often treated as targets for abduction and execution, particularly if they are suspected to be working as agents for the military and police.

Five years ago, four village officials of Barangay Tibuloy in Toril District were abducted at gunpoint from their houses by at least 20 communist rebels, under the order of Kumander Parago. The victims were identified as Tibuloy Barangay Captain Danilo Pendon and his son Dennis, along with two other barangay officials, Rafael Llego and Melchor Acle. They were reportedly brought to the NPA encampment in Barangay Catigan, also in Toril.

In March of that same year, Juliana Noquera, a former barangay kagawad, was allegedly killed by the NPA.

The NPA has yet to issue a statement owning up to the killing of Albaran.

Norwich City v Arsenal: Will the Canaries be singing come Sunday …

Our hopes of going through in the Champions League are alive and Alexis S nchez stumbled across some form: everything s good, right? After a north London derby draw with Spurs and that loss in the Midlands, Arsenal need to get back on track at Norwich on Sunday. Press Conference Speaking to the media on Thursday, Ars ne Wenger insisted the title race is wide open 1 but is refusing to rule Arsenal in or out of it this early in the season.

Mathematically you cannot rule Chelsea out even the bottom teams are in it, Wenger said. It is so difficult. It is so tight and I don t even look at the league anymore because it is very, very tight.

The Arsenal manager was also quick to praise stars Mesut zil 2 and Alexis S nchez 3 , while describing the loss last weekend as if it was something of an anomaly. We won 37 times in the last 25 games before West Brom, when we scored first we won 25 times, Wenger told the press 4 . You have to consider that mathematically as an accident.

Accidents happen, but there s little room for more of them now. Team News Good news for once! Nobody picked up an injury against Dinamo Zagreb, so all players involved are available 5 , with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain likely to return to the bench.

Long-term absentees remain out, but Arsenal have finally gone a week without any minor setbacks. Wenger has to choose between starting Joel Campbell, who impressed in midweek, or Aaron Ramsey, who is fit again. Possible XI: ech; Beller n, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Flamini, Cazorla; Ramsey, zil, Alexis; Giroud.

The Opposition Norwich City have lost five of their last six Premier League games and find themselves precariously above the relegation zone, just two points behind fellow strugglers Chelsea in 15th. It s been a tough start to the season after promotion in May, but Alex Neil seems to have a grasp of what staying in the Premier League will demand of his team. That means Arsenal are unlikely to face the free-flowing Norwich which won promotion from the Championship last season.

The Norwich manager had plenty of praise for Arsenal, who he is clearly an admirer of. The Arsenal manager is under no illusions, fully aware of the test that awaits his players on Sunday and not lulled into a false sense of security following Norwich s poor form. You know that when you go there, it s always a special game for them, he told .

They raise their level and all the recent history of a team doesn t play too much of a part in it. 6 You just want to be more focused. I think the key of the game will be more on our side than on the opponents side. Winger Nathan Redmond is a dangerous dribbler and the Canaries top scorer with four Premier League goals already this season.

Along with Wes Hoolahan, Arsenal will have plenty to think about. Alex Tettey and Matt Jarvis are both out injured. Possible XI: Ruddy; Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Brady; Redmond, O Neil, Mulumbu, Howson; Hoolahan; Jerome.

Pressure Now s when the pressure starts to come on. Arsenal haven t won in two Premier League games and play after every single one of their title rivals on Sunday. There will be a demand to either keep up or capitalise on the errors of other sides.

Injuries make the squad look a little thinner but it s nothing we aren t used to and something we just have to deal with.

It would be a perfect time, as far as the Premier League is concerned, to get back to winning ways.

Weave Got Keys keychain review

While I only have a few keys on my work keychain, I need to be able to access them quickly and easily. As it stands, they reside in the same pocket as my house and car keys. Whenever I need to get them, I find myself fumbling in my pocket, trying to determine which set of keys is which.

I ve been looking for a keychain that can hold my keys and easily attach to my belt loop. I was recently given a prototype of the Weave Got Keys keychain; hopefully this will be the gadget I ve been looking for. First of all, what is Weave Got Keys?

Well, it s a lightweight, carbon fiber keychain that claims to be like no other. Weave Composites, the maker of Weave Got Keys, states the keychain is a one-piece, carbon fiber mold, capable of holding up to 5 keys. Additionally, it has a built-in, custom carabiner designed to fit belt loops.

You also have the option to purchase a multi-tool that fits in with your keys. It s pretty easy to install your keys. There is nothing more to it than unscrewing the two connecting screws, placing the keys into the holder, threading the screws through your keys, and screwing the screws back together.

My work keys contain a Dodge Key, a Ford key, a mailbox key, and a handcuff key. I was hoping to place the 3 traditional keys inside the Weave and hook the handcuff key to the carabiner. I inserted the keys, tightened the screws, and hooked my handcuff key onto the carabiner with ease.

Unfortunately, the second I tried to close the keys, I realized they weren t going to fit into the Weave. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. In Weave s defense, their website doesn t say vehicle keys will fit of course it doesn t say they won t either.

Since I wasn t going to be able to use my work keys, I figured maybe I could free up space on my personal keychain. This is my keychain before using Weave. It includes 3 door keys, two vehicle key fobs, and a Tile key finder.

Like with my work keys before, my personal keys installed easily, but as you can see, the Weave actually makes my setup slightly more bulky. I tried out this setup for about a day and didn t have any issues with it. At one point, I was wearing sweatpants while running errands, and enjoyed the fact that I could hook the keys to my waistband; it saved me from having unnecessarily bulky pockets.

Also, you are able to tighten the screws so that the keys don t fall out on their own, but are still easy to retrieve. Before completing the review, I wanted to test the Weave s claim you could store 5 keys at once. I don t have 5 keys, so I used 4 keys and the multi-tool that Weave provided.

As you can see, the outermost key doesn t go in all the way. Additionally, it was very difficult to remove the other keys. Maybe if I was able to substitute a key for the multi-tool everything would have fit better, but as far as I can tell, 5 keys seems to be too much for the Weave.

At the conclusion of the review, I removed the Weave from my keychain and went back to my original setup. I probably would have continued to use it, but my wife has an even bulkier setup and asked to use it. I really want to recommend the Weave, but the price is holding me back. $50 seems like a lot of money to pay for a keychain.

If you have the money to spend, the Weave is a great keychain; it s unbelievably light and easy to use. If you are interested in Weave, you can purchase one from its Kickstarter 1 project page for $50. The anticipated delivery date is February 2016.
