Late Summer Gardens Flourish!

Seamere at Hingham On Sunday 2 nd August Dunbeaghan near Dereham is a riot of late flowering perennials among the borders and island beds, together with plenty of rare and unusual plants in this popular and ever developing garden. See more: Dunbheagan 1 On the same day The Old Rectory at Kirby Bedon opens for the first time for the NGS and in complete contrast is a formal structured garden with box balls, yew and hornbeam hedges. A sunken rose garden has a pond complete with an unusual fountain.

Dwile Flonking World Championships 2015

The Dog Inn Flonkers are poised to defend their title at the Annual Dwile Flonking World Championships on Saturday 15th August 2015 at The Dog Inn, Ludham Bridge, Norfolk NR 29 5NY. Details of this unusual and supposedly traditional Norfolk game can be viewed online at http://www.thenorfolkbroads.org/Dwile%20Flonking.html 1 This is a really fun day and previously drew media attention from all over the world at the inaugural championships in 2010. We are now actively looking for competitors to take part and invite your club the join in the fun by entering a team.

Entry fees are just 1 per person for your team of ten. Camping pitches with water and toilets are available free to all competitors. A donation will be made to charity from the entrance fees and a raffle on the day.
