Shipdham Manor Residential Home in Shipdham hosted a surprise tea party to celebrate two special anniversaries. Kathy Fisher (head of care) has been working at the home for 25 years, while Sally Colby (senior carer) has been at Shipdham Manor for 26 years! The two are much loved and well respected members of the team and so the residents and other staff were able to arrange the party without them knowing.

Sally (left), David Bates (centre) and Kathy (right). Friends and family members attended the party, including family, friends and relatives of former residents. David Bates, Chief Operating Officer for the Healthcare Homes group presented colourful bouquets of flowers to each and gave a speech to the gathered crowd.

David Bates said: With Kathy and Sally having a combined loyal service of over 50 years, it certainly warranted a celebratory party to thank them for their loyalty and commitment. During the years, they have supported many residents here at Shipdham Manor and are both extremely well liked and respected individuals. The surprise tea party was a token of our gratitude and a way of saying a huge thank you for the care and support they continue to provide to residents at Shipdham Manor.

We would also like to extend our thanks to all the guests who came along to the party we were pleased to welcome so many familiar faces.
