Credit Manager | Suffolk Jobs

Due to continued growth our client is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to work at their head office and manufacturing facility in Suffolk. Our client is keen to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual with proven international Incoterms and Projects business experience. ideally CICM qualified or have a contractual law qualification would be advantageous but is not essential with proven international Incoterms and Projects business experience.

The key deliverables will be: To assess the credit worthiness of potential purchasers and monitor all accounts with credit limits in place to ensure that all remain within acceptable levels Collection of monies from customers as and when due in accordance with procedures / proposing together with MD any course of action required if terms are not adhered to Providing advice on letter of Credit terms / checking letters of credit received in conjunction with Business Units and Distribution personnel Closing off and reconciling Sales Ledger. Providing Management Accountant with details of payment expectations for cash flow forecasting purposes Issuing statements in a timely fashion Attendance of meetings to advice on Credit Control finance issues In addition to the proven Credit Management skills the appointed person will be able to evidence the following experience, attributes and skills: Previous experience working in an Engineering and / or Construction sector related discipline would be an advantage Experience in working with multinational accounts, interacting with mid and upper level executives Experience of working within a project framework Experience of administering export contracts and the associated paperwork requirements of overseas projects ie. Letters of Credit, Incoterms etc.

Experience of working on international projects in a changeable environment and demonstrating initiative and self direction Computer literacy demonstrable familiarity with common business software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Project Commercial awareness is essential, international contractual / commercial experience would be desirable Whilst not a prerequisite, proficiency in a foreign language would be a desirable beneficial skill The complexity of the role calls for a strong commercial, contractual and project administration skill set, along with good verbal and written communication skills and numeric reasoning.
